Dr. Pastrano is founder and board member of Twin Cities-based ImpactLives, Inc. and founder of Third Sphere LLC, a center for transformational leadership in cultural competence, social innovation, and entrepreneurship. Pastrano is fluent in human-centered design, design thinking, system thinking, service learning, social responsibility, social innovation, transformational leadership, and entrepreneurial leadership. Additionally, his innovative approach to intercultural competence and diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging have been lauded by many local and national organizations.
Serving 15 years as a surgical consultant and medical device specialist with Ethicon, Medtronic, and Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, Pastrano has received numerous awards, including the Doctor Act Award, presented by TRANS4M Council for Research and Innovation in Switzerland. This award is given in recognition for outstanding achievement in Social Innovation. Pastrano has traveled extensively for leadership engagement and humanitarian efforts throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. As a graduate of the U.S. Naval Supply Corps School, he also served as a Commanding Officer in the U.S. Navy Reserve.
Pastrano earned his Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications/Media Studies from Briar Cliff University. His advanced degrees include a Master of Science in Management from the U.S. Naval Supply Corps School, a Master of Arts in Theological Studies from Bethel Seminary, and a Doctorate in Global Contextual Leadership from Bethel University.
Pastrano volunteers at Mill City Church in Minneapolis, with FINNOVATION Lab as a Fellowship mentor, and at Third Sphere LLC, where he mentors and coaches young leaders. He served on the general board for the YMCA, where he continues to volunteer, and currently serves on the Alia Innovations board of directors and on the 2Restored board of directors. Pastrano enjoys family time with his wife, Shelly, their two sons, Xavier and Kryston, and their grandson, Rowan.
Wilson has more than 30 years of experience in the commercial banking industry, having served in a variety of financial and operational roles. Following God’s leading she entered the nonprofit sector as VP of Finance and Operations at Crown College in Minnesota. Wilson currently serves as the CFO of 3D Money LLC a Faith-Based Alternative Investment Company just west of the Twin Cites metro area where she has the unique opportunity and blessing to combine her financial services and accounting expertise in a faith- based entrepreneurial driven enterprise. She taught at Northwestern as adjunct faculty in the School of Business for three years and served on the President’s Advisory Council for over six years. Wilson also serves as a board member and treasurer for iWork4Him, a faith and work podcast encouraging professionals to see the workplace as a mission field. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, Computer Science, and Business from Minnesota State University—Mankato, and a graduate banking degree from Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University, Dallas, Texas. Wilson and her husband, Jeff, have two grown children and five grandchildren.
Paul Bierhaus is a retired U.S. army colonel and military policeman, in which he served for 25 years. During his service, he was a detective for the Sedgwick County, Kansas, sheriff’s department vice division, focusing on narcotics and homicide. In addition, Bierhaus spent decades in sales for two Fortune 500 companies: 3M and Proctor & Gamble.
Bierhaus obtained his undergraduate degree from Bethel University and MBA from Wichita State University.
He has been married to Donna for 54 years and together they have 2 daughters and 7 grandchildren.
As a couple, he and Donna happily support the Illinois-based non-profit Kids Around the World (KATW)—which build playgrounds for kids in developing countries.
Bierhaus has also been involved with Kids In Need, EFCA Men’s Board, Hope for the Hurting Home, Rotary International District Board, Hennepin County Sheriff’s Advisory Board, Feed My Starving Children Board, and Wayzata Free Church Board of Elders.
