Students can take one course at a time with flexibility to work through each class at a pace that works for you. Small class sizes taught from a Christian perspective allow students to grow in an environment that fosters spiritual and academic growth. Core Competencies
The following core competencies should be reflected in all graduate-level coursework at Northwestern. Graduate students will:
- Develop and demonstrate advanced skills in critical thinking and in written and verbal communication.
- Develop advanced skills in evaluating material and effectively presenting their research in a variety of media.
- Analyze key issues in their field of study through analysis and synthesis of significant field-specific research.
- Explore their field of study through a biblical worldview.
- Demonstrate sensitivity to cultural and ethnic diversity for building relationships and for communicating the Gospel in context.
Graduate Degrees
The Graduate Studies program offers a variety graduate degrees. If you want to take individual courses for personal development not specified in a degree plan, you have the option to select from a variety of subjects. These degrees and programs will enhance your career working in a variety of industries.
Graduate Certificate Programs
Take the next step in your career and earn a graduate certificate. These shorter programs of study allow you to focus on a specific area to gain expertise quickly. Earn a certificate on its own or apply the credits to a graduate degree should you wish to continue your studies. The Graduate Certificates curriculum has been developed to ensure our students learn real-world skills and expertise that put them in high demand. Timelines across programs are flexible.
