Alumni play an integral role in the community of Northwestern, and we continue to provide resources to alumni that are as valuable as their experiences as students.

Tuition Discount

The unique education found at the University of Northwestern is one you will want to pass along to your children; as an alumnus of the university you will receive a discount off tuition for your children. Plus, you receive a discount on future education!

• 20% discount for our UNW Alumni on the graduate school programs
  • Must have a degree from UNW to receive the graduate school discount.
• $1,500 “Legacy Discount” for your children.
  • Dependents of alums who are full-time, in-person students receive a $1,500 grant each YEAR.
  • NOTE: Full-time pastors/ministry staff also get a $1,500 discount. Discounts for traditional undergraduate students can be stacked. Discounts for Grad students CANNOT be stacked, but they will receive whichever discount is greatest.

Campus Store

Career Coaching

Students and alumni have access to career guidance including coaching, workshops, webinars, assessments, and events.

Ericksen Center Pass

Looking to sneak in a workout? UNW Alumni get free access to the Ericksen Center jogging track, fitness equipment, and weight room (subject to availability).

The hours of the Ericksen Center are generally:

• Mondays–Thursdays 6:15 a.m.–11 p.m.
• Fridays 6:15 a.m.–7 p.m.
• Saturdays 9 a.m.–3 p.m.
• During school breaks, 8 a.m.–4 p.m.
• Closed Sundays, during home sporting events, and on holidays.

Berntsen Library

The Berntsen Library contains valuable resources for research and plenty of materials for personal enrichment, education, and enjoyment. The Alumni Card is equipped with a barcode, which enables you to check out most materials for yourself from the Berntsen Library. Come in person and register. Rent physical books, reserve a study room, and access the archives (online and in person).

Fine Arts Performances

Northwestern’s tradition of excellence is skillfully reflected in its musical ensembles. With your Alumni Card, you get a discount on all fine arts events and season passes (2 tickets per alum, use the promo code “UNWAlumni”). Be sure to let the Ticket Office know you are UNW alumni when purchasing tickets for events. Keep an eye out for information in the Alumni e-News. Contact the Ticket Office at 651-631-5151.

Sporting Events

Enjoy a fun and spirited University of Northwestern home game with your whole family! Select events throughout the year will offer alumni discounts. Go Eagles!

Summer Lodging

Visiting the Twin Cities? Think about staying on the familiar grounds of University of Northwestern. Enjoy the trees, the lake, and a discount! With your Alumni Card, you and your immediate family can receive a 30% discount for short-term lodging in the dorms June 1 through July 31. Nazareth Chapel Weddings

Nazareth Chapel, on Northwestern’s campus, is a beautiful and historical treasure enjoyed by many for concerts, special events, and weddings. Island and Picnic Area Access

Summer is a perfect time to have family picnics, church gatherings, and birthday parties. And now there is a perfect place to host these fun events! Contact Event Services at 651-631-5388 to schedule your special occasion. With your Alumni Card, you and up to 25 family members and friends can gather at the Sunbeam Picnic Area and island for free! A liability waiver is required.

Eagle Business Directory (coming soon!)

Browse several hundred businesses that are either owned or operated by a UNW alum, parent, or staff member. Restaurants, realtors, ministries, and much more! Businesses can apply here.

Transcript Services

Official transcripts can now be sent electronically! Hard copies are still available for request. If you need to send your transcript to an employer or to another institution to pursue a higher degree, visit the transcript request page.
