Objective
Join other children (ages 4–8) for a week of music together! Sing, play instruments, move, listen, create, and learn foundational musical concepts with a fun seasonal theme. This summer, our theme is “Carnival of the Animals.”
Brio means brilliance, vitality, with energy.
Siri Drontle, instructor
Siri Drontle grew up in a musical family. She participated in church choirs beginning in kindergarten and continues to sing at her home church today. She studied piano as a child before shifting her focus to flute, studying with Judith Miller Ranheim. At age 13, she also began dance studies.
While attending the Lutheran Bible Institute of Seattle, Siri sang in choir and worship teams, led Vespers services, and toured regionally with a small ensemble. In 2001, she taught and performed with Christian Outreach International’s Performing Arts School in Czechia and England. She continues to play flute and sing and has since added lyric writing, songwriting, and musical theater performance to her artistic pursuits.
Siri holds a master’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. In 2005, she began working with preschool-aged children and has loved it ever since. She delights in seeing young children’s sense of wonder as they explore the world around them. Throughout her career, Siri has taught preschoolers in childcare centers, Montessori classrooms, Sunday school programs, music classes, and dance classes. She recently attended the Creative Dance Center’s Summer Institute for Teachers in Seattle, along with follow-up coursework in Brain-Compatible Dance Education. Her teaching experience spans toddlers through adults in music, classroom instruction, specialist classes, dance, and musical theater.
Siri currently teaches dance through Fusion Dance Academy, Celebrate Dance Academy, and St. Croix Ballet. She lives in St. Paul with her family.

I liked the emphasis on rhythm (quarter notes, half notes, etc.) and also teaching them the musical alphabet (A-G) as it aligns with what they are learning with the piano. Also, the tempo and dynamics instruction fit with that. I liked how the xylophones were utilized, too. They loved making their own instruments and I was impressed with how much my children retained and displayed at the program. We will be back next year!”
