Nikki has been a primary teacher for 20 years in the Centennial School District. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Gustavus Adolphus College (2002) and her Masters of Arts in Education from Hamline University in St. Paul (2007). In the Centennial School District, she taught many young students as well as led and participated in curriculum design teams and committees such as AVID and PLCs. During that time, she also was a cooperating teacher to several University of Northwestern- St. Paul students. Nikki loved having these student teachers in her room because they brought such enthusiasm to the classroom.

In the summer of 2022, Nikki joined the Online Learning Office as an Instructional Designer. Her job entails working with online instructors to help make the courses great for students who receive their education virtually. For many years, Nikki has wanted to support student teachers as a supervisor to help them grow and embrace teaching. In January 2023, Nikki became a Student Teaching Supervisor and has been loving it!

Angel Dahlstrom

Angel Dahlstrom

Faculty Instructor Piano

Angel is from St. Louis Park, where she lives with her husband, Parker. She recently graduated from North Central University in Minneapolis with a degree in Vocal Music and a minor in piano. She loves volunteering at her church, where she participates on the worship team and helps with the youth worship team and church theatre program, as well as singing in her local community choir whenever the opportunity arises.

Angel began learning piano from her mother when she was 8 years old. In her teen years, she began playing on camp and church worship teams as she had the opportunity and travelling with her family to sing special music at nearby churches. Her love of teaching was sparked by the love and joy that her teachers taught her from, helping her realize her own potential and making her long to share the joy of music with others who have a desire to learn.

When not teaching or practicing, Angel enjoys baking, thrift shopping, creating new theatre costumes and props, and going on walks and biking with her husband.
