Brittany Glenny-Moreno
Brittany Glenny Moreno has been teaching piano for over 20 years and is an active pianist and accompanist in the Twin Cities area.
She has instructed private piano students at the Music Academy in the Minnetonka Schools, where she developed and incorporated her instrumental improvisations for her students into their classes. In Kentucky, Ms. Moreno has taught private and group courses at the Sacred Heart School for the Arts and led the Suzuki piano department activities as well. She primarily taught private piano at Indiana University Southeast and served as the principal collaborative accompanist/organist and assistant choral director at the Watkins United Methodist Church. Ms. Moreno was selected to attend and perform in the late Maurice Hinson’s Dorsey local piano pedagogy classes. In Tennessee, she was the principal pianist and accompanist at Faith Bible Fellowship. In the Philippines, at Union Church of Manila, she accompanied for several choir concerts and musical theater productions.
She received her M.A. in Music Education with a Piano Pedagogy Emphasis at St. Scholastica and studied piano with Sir Greg Zuniega and piano and music theory with Father Manuel Maramba. She has a B.A. in Music with a Piano Emphasis and studied with Richard Lange at the University of Northwestern, St. Paul, MN, where she taught private piano at the Music Academy. Upon her undergraduate degree completion, she enrolled in graduate courses in the music program at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota and taught early childhood music at MacPhail Center for Music.
Her publications have been featured in Accent, the Alumni Newsletter of Northwestern College, St. Paul and in the Practical Homeschooling magazine, with her article entitled “How to Pick a Piano Teacher.” She has received the awards of Outstanding teacher from the Sacred Heart School for the Arts in Kentucky in 2014 and also from the Kentucky Music Teachers’ Association in 2017 and the “Artist of the Month” in a 2010 Tennessee magazine feature article.
Her students have done well in competitions. Ms. Moreno is a certified Suzuki Piano Teacher and is an active member of the Music Teachers National Association and Minnesota Music Teachers’ Association and the National Guild of Piano Teachers. As a piano instrumentalist, she is creating a piano method to help her students develop their improvisational skills and is also working towards the release of her first set of piano instrumental compositions.
In a performance at the Sacred Heart School for the Arts, she received the following review, “Ms. Moreno is a brilliant pianist and an incredible technician.”
Mariya started her musical journey quite early, being involved in choir since she was 3. She started learning the violin at age 5 from Russian violin teacher Georgia Ishanidi. Several years later, Mariya was accepted to he Volgograd Children’s Music School 8 where she studied for 10 years focusing on violin, piano, chamber, musical history, and theory. During her time there, she participated in multiple festivals, competitions, and contests as a soloist and as a member of the school’s prestigious violin ensemble. Mariya has graduated from the school with high honors.
After moving to the United States, she studied under Julie Willey and Connie Aiken while participating in the Great Twin Youth Symphonies. Mariya is currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree in violin performance under Emily Saathoff while actively participating in the Northwestern Orchestra and various chamber ensembles.
Cora Tsang is from Rochester, MN, and is currently studying under Dr. Paul Wirth at the University of Northwestern for a degree in Music Performance—Piano. She hopes to receive her master’s in Collaborative Piano at the University of Minnesota after receiving her bachelor’s degree.
Cora began piano lessons when she was 5 and has had several different teachers in both the San Antonio, Texas area and the Rochester, Minnesota area. Recent teachers include Dr. Ainhoa Urkijo, a collaborative pianist from Spain, and Dr. Paul Wirth, a well-known pianist and Artistic Director of the Wirth Center for the Performing Arts in St. Cloud, Minnesota.
Cora’s experience in collaboration includes accompanying for 2 of the RAACHE choirs in Rochester, MN for 4 years, and accompanying her church choir at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Rochester for 2 years. During her two years of study with collaborative pianist Dr. Ainhoa Urkijo, she studied accompaniments for vocal literature and collaborative piano technique. She is currently working for the University of Northwestern as a student accompanist and plays piano for UNW’s Symphonic Band and Jazz Ensemble.
Cora is passionate about collaboration in music and loves being able to share and listen to different perspectives and interpretations of pieces. She strives to be able to make an impact as a Christian musician in the collaborative world and learn from the perspectives of the musicians with which she works.
Rachel is from Zimmerman, MN and is pursuing a degree in Music ministry and Ministry worship and creative arts at the University of Northwestern. She is involved in a variety of music including piano lessons and UNW Orchestra.
Rachel began playing piano when she was 3 years old and took lessons with her mom for most of her life. She has participated in MMTA piano tests and the honors concert. Along with piano, Rachel started playing violin when she was 13 and began singing on the worship team at church when she was 15.
Music has always been a part of Rachel’s life, and she is excited for this opportunity to share her love of music with students through the Academy of Music. Music is such a special gift, and she hopes to inspire her students in their own musical abilities as she teaches!

Shane Reinhard serves as the Associate Director of Field Experience and Adjunct Faculty at Northwestern. Before coming to Northwestern, Shane served at Saint Joseph Catholic High School in Ogden, UT from 2013-2022, and at the Hmong College Prep Academy in St. Paul, MN from 2022-2023. He has Tier 4 licensure for Communication Arts/Literatures in (7-12 grade) and Physical Education (K-12 grade). In addition to teaching, Reinhard enjoys 20th Century Modernist Authors, writing Curriculum, running, and playing guitar
Reinhard lives with his wife Kirsten and their three children, Lilian, Eloise, and Rodney.
When asked why he chose to come to Northwestern, Reinhard reflected, “I work at Northwestern because there is a need for Christ-centered learning, to equip, enable, and invigorate the current generation to go out into the world, proclaiming the name of Jesus. There is no better way and no other designation which brings our world lasting peace.”

Jill Villalobos has been the Vice President of Health Care Services at Molina Healthcare of Iowa since 2022. She also brings extensive experience in physician clinics, hospitals, and payers.
Previously, she has held roles as the Chief Operating Officer at Iowa Diabetes Research, Director of Operations and EHR Optimization at The Iowa Clinic, and Senior Clinical Sales Engineer at MedeAnalytics, among others.
Jill resides in the suburbs of Des Moines, Iowa, with her husband, Leo.
