Writing Tutoring
The Writing Center offers one-on-one sessions for help with paper content, structure, and editing. Appointments can be in-person or virtual. Tutors are available to help students at any stage in the writing process, from brainstorming for ideas to organizing to fine-tuning. Writing tutoring is also available in the following areas:
- Structuring of papers
- Incorporation of sources
- Advanced grammar
- Editing Competency Exam (ECE) preparation and remediation
For those who prefer written feedback, the UNW Online Writing Lab accepts paper submissions and provides constructive feedback within 1-2 business days.
Subject Tutoring
Tutoring is also offered for other subjects through regularly scheduled group sessions. During the academic school year, subject tutoring is provided in most subject areas, and sessions are available in-person and online. Testing Facilitation
Test proctoring is offered to current students for quizzes or exams missed in class and for approved accommodations.
