What is Project 29:7?
Project 29:7 is an initiative of the Student Experience team at UNW. By curating and supporting service projects, immersion and mission trips, and service-learning events, our hope is that the UNW community will find exciting ways to join God in is redemptive work in the world! Rooted in Jeremiah 29:7, we believe God calls us to seek the peace and prosperity of the places we live, study, and serve.
“Seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you… Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.”
— Jeremiah 29:7
What We Offer
Project 29:7 provides students and student groups with a wide range of service opportunities including:
- One-time volunteer events
- Ongoing service partnerships
- Spring break service-learning trips
- Reflection and training opportunities that connect faith with action
We are here to work closely with campus leaders, students, and community partners to match students with projects that align with their gifts and passions.
Featured Partnerships
Project 29:7 connects students with local and global partners—both faith-based and civic—who are working to meet real needs and promote human flourishing. These partnerships give students the chance to live out their faith, build relationships, and join God’s redemptive work in the world through compassionate service.
- Serve with Settled to help address homelessness in the Twin Cities through supportive tiny home communities. Whether building homes, joining street outreach, or assisting with community events, students contribute to restoring dignity and stability for neighbors experiencing homelessness.
- Partner with OneChild to help children break free from poverty through sponsorship that provides education, healthcare, and spiritual support. Students can build personal connections through letters and even join Spring Break trips to visit global Hope Centers.
Our Mission | Our Values |
Project 29:7 exists to invite and equip students to join God in His redemptive work in the world—serving others with humility, compassion, and hope as we participate in the restoration of lives, communities, and creation. Rooted in the truth that God is actively building His Kingdom on earth, we believe every act of service—big or small—is a response to His call to be agents of justice, mercy, and love. Through Christ-centered service, students grow not only in their understanding of the Gospel, but also in their calling to live it out for the good of the world and the glory of God. | Christ-Centered Compassion: Every act of service reflects Christ’s heart for the vulnerable and marginalized. Community Partnership: We serve with others—valuing relationships and collaboration with our partner organizations. Student Empowerment: Students are equipped and encouraged to lead, dream, and act for the good of the world. Holistic Formation: Service is a key part of spiritual and personal growth—shaping hearts as much as hands. |
