As you enter your junior or senior year, you are likely starting to plan out your calendar for the next school year. There are plenty of high school commitments, but it’s also time to start planning out college visits, events, and deadlines. Follow along for ways to optimize your fall with a couple of fun activities to try along the way.
Campus Visits
One of the most helpful ways to start planning out your college next steps is to visit college campuses. Seeing campus in person, walking around the dorms, meeting with professors or advisors, and maybe even scheduling an audition all help check off boxes towards making or finalizing your college decision.
As you think through when to visit campus, keep in mind some of the fall events at Northwestern:
Homecoming – October 10 – 11
Do you have a sibling, parent, or grandparent that attended Northwestern? Tag along to Homecoming and run the Purple Donut Run, watch a volleyball game, shop the Northwestern Market, attend the Homecoming football game, or explore campus with a historical campus tour. Most students and alumni would agree that it’s one of the best times to be on Northwestern’s campus.
Fall Preview Days – October 10, 16, 17, 31
Fall Preview Days are the perfect opportunity to check off a campus tour, academic fair, or department visit. Get to know professors, meet with admissions, and find the answers to your financial aid and enrollment questions.
