Shelly has been teaching online since 2005 and took a major leap in 2009 when she transitioned from a Vice President role to pursue online teaching full-time. She has been a dedicated faculty member at the University of Northwestern – St. Paul (UNWSP) since 2018. Shelly is passionate about education and finds great joy in helping both young adults and seasoned learners achieve their academic, professional, and personal goals.

Her teaching portfolio spans multiple disciplines, including business, finance, and project management. Over the years, she has served in various academic leadership roles such as professor, professor mentor, lead faculty, and assistant dean, contributing to student success and faculty development alike.

Outside the classroom, Shelly owns a consulting business specializing in course development for both academic institutions and professional organizations.

Shelly resides in South Dakota, with her husband, their son, and their beloved Golden doodle, Brutus. As a proud military family, they embrace the changing seasons of the Midwest and enjoy spending time outdoors together.
