EdD in Leadership and Management, SBTS
MDiv in Administration/Christian Education, Denver Seminary
BA in Christian Education, Bethel College/Moody Bible Inst.

Dr Thoman is currently retired but continues as an adjunct professor for UNW and other Christian universities. His experience includes 15 years as a small business owner, 30 years in ministry leadership, and more than a decade as a full Professor and leader in Christian Higher Education. He has been privileged to serve as Dean of Faculty, Dean of the College of Professional Studies, and personal coach/mentor to leaders from across the country. He serves on non-profit boards as time allows.

His passion is to invest in the current and next generation of Christian leaders/managers in the for-profit and non-profit sectors.

He enjoys the outdoors throughout the western U.S., Alaska, Florida, and Minnesota. He loves kayaking, fishing (especially fly fishing), hunting, and doing all things with family, especially the grandkids. When not outdoors, he has been known to hang in the local coffee shop with his wife, friends, or mentees.

As Rick says, “Learning is life-long and thorough each class, each student, each relationship in business/ministry, the Lord continues His significant work in my life. May He do so with you as well.”
