Prior to moving to Minnesota with her family in 2017, Kimberly spent more than ten years teaching high school English in Missouri and Iowa. Her experience with the National Writing Project empowered her to help student writers discover their voice and use their words to impact their worlds. She enjoys doing that today in her role as an adjunct professor at Northwestern, where she teaches writing and literature and works with future teachers. Kimberly spends her free time exploring her city and delighting in everyday life.
