CONTACT INFORMATION
Heather attended St. Cloud State University as an undergraduate student. During that time, she studied overseas in Costa Rica, attending the Universidad de Costa Rica in San José. She earned her Master’s degree in Education in 2004, and her National Board Certificate in 2019 and again in 2024. Heather has been a Spanish teacher for 28 years.
Heather always wanted to be a teacher, but her area of focus changed throughout her post-secondary education. Her time in Costa Rica solidified her current career path. Heather has been Cooperating Teacher to many student teachers in her classroom. She is excited to expand her teaching experience here at Northwestern.
Outside of working with students and student teachers, Heather has many interests. She loves to travel and has many stories of her adventures in other countries (23 and counting!). She enjoys theater, participating as director, actor, and choreographer. She also enjoys working out.
