Drontle, Siri Headshot
Instructor Siri Drontle

Ms. Siri Drontle has taught in both the classroom and dance studio since 1999. She has also danced professionally, performing with Saint Anthony Sacred Dance, Saint Paul City Ballet, Continental Ballet Company and the Omaha Dance Project in Omaha, Nebraska. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies from the Lutheran Bible Institute of Seattle. She has a Master’s of Education from the University of Minnesota, and has completed Montessori training through Hand in Hand Christian Montessori’s Child Alive Institute.

Siri has taught dance for toddlers through adults, including ballet, pointe, and worship dance. She studied brain compatible dance education and creative movement technique for all ages at the Creative Dance Center’s Summer Institute for Teachers in Seattle. Siri has added the study of rhythm tap dance to her dance teaching repertoire. Siri loves to worship the Lord through dance!

Siri’s musical training began early! Her parents and grandparents had a deep love for music —church music and choral singing in particular. She has been involved in church choirs since kindergarten and continues to praise the Lord with song, also composing vocal music and sharing this as part of her teaching of children in dance and Sunday school settings. She studied flute under Judith Miller Ranheim, and performed in youth orchestras as well as other small ensembles in recent years. She has added piccolo as well as penny whistle (and a bit of piano).

A Word From Parents

“My son loved it all, but his favorite parts seemed to be making his own instrument and the song/dances/hand motions that he was taught. I appreciated the quality of the teaching, and the fact that the kids learned building blocks to reading music and musical terms.”

“My children had a great week at music camp. They liked the camp and the crafts. They really liked all of the activities. My kids do a handful of camps throughout the summer and they enjoy this one the most!”

“My children loved coming to Brio Camp. We were so impressed with everything that was covered in one week. My children both started taking piano lessons this spring and I was looking to further their interest there and also expand their education. I liked the emphasis on rhythm (quarter notes, half notes, etc.) and also teaching them the musical alphabet (A-G) as it aligns with what they are learning with the piano. Also, the tempo and dynamics instruction fit with that. I liked how the xylophones were utilized, too. They loved making their own instruments and I was impressed with how much my children retained and displayed at the program. We will be back next year!”
