Strengthen your understanding of Scripture with a secondary major in Bible, complementing your primary area of study.
Why choose a secondary major in Bible?
Because of Northwestern’s core foundation in Biblical education, students can easily add a secondary major in Bible to their course load by completing a mere six additional credits of Bible Exposition. A secondary major in Bible exists only and explicitly as a secondary major for traditional undergraduate students.
Courses include Christian Thinking & Living, Interpreting Scripture, Survey of the Old Testament, Survey of the New Testament, Theological Philosophy, Bible Exposition and either Systematic Theology, Historical Theology, Biblical Theology, Spiritual and Personal Formation for Leadership, or Leading with Courage and Calling.
Students who choose to pursue the Great Books & Ideas (Secondary Major) will need to complete 6 additional credits in Bible Exposition (excluding BIB3115 and BIB3223).
What will I learn?
Students may earn a secondary major in Bible by completing specific Core Curriculum courses plus 6 additional credits of the Bible Exposition for a total of 30 credits.
