University of Northwestern – St. Paul School of Business to be Dedicated in Honor of Dan and Robin Stoltz

ST. PAUL, Minn., February 3, 2026 – As part of a planned gift to University of Northwestern – St. Paul (UNW), the largest single philanthropic commitment in the institution’s 124-year history, UNW will name its business school in recognition of alumni Dan and Robin Stoltz. Northwestern president Dr. Corbin Hoornbeek announced the gift, which is in conjunction with the university’s Amplify the Gospel campaign, at a campus gathering on Tuesday.

Inspired by the call in Jeremiah 29 to “seek the peace and prosperity of the city,” the newly named Stoltz School of Business reflects Northwestern’s UNWavering™ conviction that followers of Christ are not called to retreat from culture, but to step into it with wisdom, humility, and purpose. The Stoltzes have long demonstrated a deep commitment to their faith, their family, and their city. Their gift to Northwestern reflects a desire to invest in the economic and spiritual flourishing of the Twin Cities and beyond. Dan’s passion for business, paired with a conviction that leadership must be rooted in high ethics and service to others, helped shape the vision for Northwestern’s business school of preparing leaders who are willing to give of themselves for the good of those around them.

“Dan and Robin epitomize both the mission of Northwestern and servant leadership in our community,” Hoornbeek said. “The best philanthropy comes from the heart, and this gift from the Stoltzes certainly displays their passion not only for UNW, but also for our students who will go into the business world as the next generation of Christian leaders.”  With enrollment open for this fall, the vision for the Stoltz School of Business is that it will become the premier center for teaching Christian business ethics, servant leadership, innovation, and a deep understanding of how faith transforms our communities. The school will equip students to lead organizations with integrity, courage, and a foundational sense of care for the world they influence. University of Northwestern is profoundly grateful for the Stoltzes’ gift and eagerly anticipates the impact this new school will have as it prepares leaders to seek the peace and prosperity of the communities where they are called to serve.
