UNW High School Honor Band & String Orchestra Day

The 2026 University of Northwestern – St. Paul Honor Band will be conducted by band faculty Dr. Cassandra Bechard and guest composer/conductor, Dr. Timothy Mahr. New this year is the addition of the High School String Orchestra, conducted by orchestra faculty Professor David Kozamchak, and guest conductor Dr. Emily Heuschele.

The day will culminate in a performance of the University of Northwestern – St. Paul High School Honor Band and String Orchestra at 5:30 p.m. in Beverly & John Lord Knight Performance Hall. The concert is free and open to the public.

Students interested in pursuing music at University of Northwestern – St. Paul will also have the option to audition for a music scholarship on November 21. Click here to find more information on how to sign up and audition!
