 Marty has taught both general and organic chemistry at the University of Northwestern – Saint Paul since 2006. Immediately after graduating from the University of Minnesota, Marty taught high school math prior to being employed as a research chemist designing, synthesizing, and formulating polymers for a variety of products. Marty has also worked as an engineering manager in the medical device industry while establishing manufacturing operations in various foreign and domestic locations. In 2005, he formed a corporation for his consulting business. His publications include two technical articles in addition to ten US and/or foreign patents. Together with his wife, Kristyn, Marty home educated their seven children. Marty remains active in the home education community. For many years, Marty has served as a volunteer in the U.S. Air Force Auxiliary and as a head election judge for the City of Maple Grove, in which he resides. Marty is passionate about his Christian faith and the evidence for the God of the Bible, which can be abundantly found in the absolutely amazing universe in which we live.
