Ericka Forsberg, M.M.

Ericka Forsberg received her B.Mus. in Vocal Performance from the University of Northwestern – St. Paul and went on to receive her M.Mus. in Vocal Performance at DePaul University in Chicago.

As a graduate student, Ericka performed with DePaul Opera Theatre where she played the title role in Bizet’s Carmen, The Sorceress in Dido and Aeneas, and Idamante in Mozart’s Idomeneo. Other roles have included Cherubino in The Marriage of Figaro, Dorabella in Cosi fan tutte, and L’ecureuil in L’enfant et les sortileges. During her time in Minnesota, Ericka performed with The Gilbert & Sullivan Very Light Opera Company, the Rochester Aria Group, and with Minnesota Opera in their productions of La donna del lago, Lakme, and The Fortunes of King Croessus. Most recently, she has appeared as a soloist with the Waldorf University Choir, Una Vocis, and the Austin Symphony Orchestra of Minnesota, under the direction of Dr. Emilie Bertram.

In addition to her work at Northwestern, Ericka serves as Adjunct Faculty of Vocal Studies at Waldorf University where she teaches applied voice and diction, as well as a course in vocal literature. Ericka has taught voice lessons to all ages in the Twin Cities, through her private home studio, the Academy of Music at the University of Northwestern, and as a voice faculty member at Crown College. She has also enjoyed teaching Introduction to Music as an online instructor for the University of Northwestern.
