Dan Fergus has been making and teaching art for more that three decades. He holds a BFA degree in Illustration from the Rhode Island School of Design and a MFA degree in Interactive Design from the University of Minnesota College of Design. He has worked as a part-time freelance illustrator and designer since the early 90s.
From 1990 to 2011, Dan taught drawing, illustration, computer design, animation, video editing, multimedia, Web design, and art history at Brown Institute/College. From 2011–2017 he was an assistant professor of Multimedia in the Mass Communications department at St. Cloud State University. Dan joined the art department at Northwestern as an adjunct in 2017.
