Accelerated Bachelor to Master’s

School of Theology & Ministry

Undergraduates in one of the accelerated programs at the School of Theology and Ministry take selected courses at the graduate level, which fulfill requirements for their bachelor’s degree and for a future master’s degree. This saves students in the program time and money and gives a competitive advantage over peers upon graduation from their undergraduate program.

Why choose an accelerated bachelor/master’s degree at Northwestern?

In the accelerated degree program, you maximize the value of your traditional undergraduate classes by taking some of the upper-level courses at the graduate level, reducing the amount of time and credits needed to earn your master’s degree at UNW. When you finish your undergraduate program, you can continue in full-time graduate study to complete the master’s degree. Or you can enter the marketplace as a highly employable candidate in ministry where you can complete your remaining graduate courses along with other students who are also working in the marketplace.

Accelerated degree students are highly motivated, enjoy managing teams, demonstrate leadership and mentorship skills, and value a graduate degree. See your admissions counselor for admissions and curriculum details.

What graduate programs can your credits apply towards?

  • Master of Arts in Theological Studies (MATS)
  • Master of Arts in Ministry Leadership (MAML)
  • Master of Divinity (M.Div.)
