Management Information Systems Major

The management information systems (MIS) major gives you the tools needed to plan, develop, use and manage the digital assets of an organization.

You will learn to use information technology to solve business problems and develop the technological infrastructure of an organization.

Courses are provided in the following areas:

  • Database front-end development using various programming languages
  • Systems analysis and design skills
  • Business and management skills

MIS Lab Learning environment

  • Built by MIS faculty and is a stand-alone facility, independent from the campus network
  • Has its own set of servers, allowing students to quickly deploy their own set of Virtual Machines (VMs)
  • VMs are used in virtually all MIS courses
  • Selected MIS students manage the Lab, gaining valuable experience
