What is it?
The Digital Media Arts degree is a multidisciplinary major, combining coursework from both the Department of Art & Design and the Department of Communication.

How did it start?
Developed in 2005 after Northwestern professors met with animators from PIXAR and other major film professionals, the Digital Media Arts major equips students with a breadth of knowledge computer animation, visual arts, design, 3D multimedia, effective communication and storytelling.
What will I be doing?
Starting with the basics of visual arts, graphic design, and communication and building up from there, you won’t leave here without the knowledge and skills you need for a job in digital animation, video game development or other creative venues!
