Adjunct Instructor of Music / Online Intro to Music
Originally from Colorado, oboist Lindsey Thompson is currently a second year Master student in Oboe Performance at the University of Minnesota studying with John Snow on a full scholarship. She performs as principal oboe in the University Orchestra and Wind Ensemble as well as being a member of the Mill City Quintet. Since August 2012, Lindsey serves as the adjunct oboe professor at University of Minnesota, Morris as well teaching at University of Northwestern’s Academy of Music. She also maintains a private studio in Blaine, MN.
Lindsey received her Bachelor’s degree, Summa Cum Laude, in Music Performance at the University of Colorado in May 2011. During her time there, Lindsey performed as rotating principal and second oboist with the University of Colorado Symphony Orchestra and Wind Ensemble under the tutelage of Peter Cooper. Lindsey has appeared with the Colorado Symphony, MahlerFest, CU Light Opera, and was a member of the Tempest Winds.
