Showcase is an exciting Homecoming tradition for many of our alumni, students and parents. The Showcase concert takes place in Maranatha Hall (Totino Fine Arts Center) and features University of Northwestern performing ensembles Northwestern Choir, Orchestra and Symphonic Band.
Following the concert, the audience and performers head over to the Billy Graham Commons for a dessert reception in the second floor dining hall, while serenaded by the Jazz Ensemble in the lower foyer.
This event is open to the public, as well as alumni, students and their families. Tickets for this concert include both the concert and the dessert reception, and they can be purchased at the Ticket Office online, or by calling 651-631-5151.
This year’s Showcase takes place on Friday, September 27, at 7 p.m. in Maranatha Hall, with a dessert reception following the concert in the Billy Graham Commons.
We celebrate our new name and continued mission of honoring Jesus Christ in all we do. Enjoy a rich variety of worship and exciting Americana music, from the Orchestra’s American Salute, The Wild, Wild West, and "Gabriel's Oboe" (from The Mission), to Northwestern Choir’s Light of a Clear Blue Morning, Blessed Assurance, and Deep River, to the Symphonic Band’s selections from West Side Story, and “Galop” from The Comedians, and more. The evening will conclude with Henry Charles Smith conducting all in America, the Beautiful.
Following the concert, all will head over to the beautiful Billy Graham Commons for a dessert reception, serenaded by the Jazz Ensemble.
