Ericka Forsberg has enjoyed many performance and teaching experiences over the past ten years. She studied voice with Carol Eikum at University of Northwestern, participating in both theatre and music department productions. After her undergraduate education, Ericka received her M.M. in Vocal Performance at DePaul University where she studied with Susanne Mentzer. As a graduate student, Ericka performed with DePaul Opera Theatre where she played the title role in Bizet's Carmen and the role of Idamante in Mozart's Idomeneo. Other roles have included Cherubino in The Marriage of Figaro, Dorabella in Cosi fan tutte, and L'ecureuil in L'enfant et les sortileges. Locally, Ericka has performed with The Minnesota Opera in their productions of La donna del lago, Lakme, and the U.S. premiere of the German baroque opera, The Fortunes of King Croessus.
Ericka is an active member of the Minnesota Music Teachers Association where she served on the 2008 Convention Committee. For the past four years she has been an adjunct vocal instructor at Crown College where she also taught German and French Diction. Ericka maintains a private music studio in her home in St. Paul and lives with her husband, Nate, and their two sons, Grant and Hudson.
