Summer Teacher Institute
University of Northwestern – St. Paul is pleased to present this new professional education opportunity:
2014 Summer Teacher Institute
for PreK–12 educators
The Summer Teacher Institute is a one-day continuing education and professional development event for teachers and other educators, sponsored by Northwestern’s Department of Education and the Division of Graduate and Continuing Education.
The institute will feature concurrent 90-minute dynamic, interactive and informative workshops—many of which can be used to meet requirements toward Minnesota licensure renewal. (See License Renewal Instructions and Registration Guide or the MN Dept. of Education website for more information.).
Participants can also earn continuing education units (CEUs) and/or opt to receive 1–2 graduate credits. If interested in graduate credits you will need to complete an Individual Course Application in addition to the online registration process.
Summer Teacher Institute Workshops are taught by Northwestern faculty and practicing teachers. You may take up to four workshops at the June 18 institute. During registration you can indicate interest in up to six workshops and final workshop selections will be announced in May.
Please visit the workshops page before you register online.
