Course of study
The Master of Arts in Education is granted upon completion of 36 credits. Completion time for the MAED is dependent upon course schedules and availability.

The MAED is not a teacher licensure program and would not be appropriate for individuals who are seeking to move into education from another field as a career change. Similarly, the program does not provide licensure preparation for principals or superintendents.

Serving as the Director of Graduate Programs in Education is Richard Joerger, Ph.D. Joerger has over 20 years of experience in the fields of education and business which he utilizes in his teaching examples. In addition to teaching, Joerger works as a consultant for domestic and international education and agricultural projects. He offers an abundance of knowledge and experience in the field of education to any educator looking to advance in the MAED program.
