Make a collaborative film in just one week?

It can be done! The Summer Season Film Workshop provides an opportunity for you to learn and explore the different stages of production: writing, producing, and editing.

Working in groups, you'll dive into the production process, learn visual storytelling, and create a professional-quality short film that will be screened at the Summer Season Finale on the last day of workshops.

Film Workshop with Ann sorenson

In this workshop you will be working fast and furious! Trust us, you won't be bored. Experience the real-life element of working with others as you collaborate on one vision to create your finished product.

Ann Sorenson earned her degree in film from Columbia University. During her tenure in New York City, Sorenson received a New York Women in Film nomination. She also serves as faculty advisor for Northwestern's popular Five16 Film Festival.

Workshop Costs

The cost for the film workshop is $575 and includes:

  • Access to state-of-the art camera and editing equipment
  • College-level instruction by a professional faculty member
  • Film budget, props and equipment to manage as part of the professional experience
  • Daily lunch
  • Off-site field trip
