Professional Writing

Why major in Professional Writing?

Does writing for a nonprofit or a company appeal to you? Would you like to use words wisely to represent a voice of an organization to the public or to help harmonize a community? "The Professional Writing major was ideal for me because it allowed me to take a variety of classes that fit with my interests. I especially appreciated … grant writing or editing and proofreading. Both the English and Communication classes I took were very practical and hands-on, allowing me to closely experience different kinds of writing."
